The Art of Chi is a simple learning method that focuses on relaxation & strength through meditation and movement.
The method reconciles the anatomical with the concrete energetic logic of the body, with the aim of a better body posture, a stronger body and a quiet mind.
Edwin Deen (°1980 Linschoten, NL) lives and works in Belgium, besides his Tai chi practice he is active as a visual artist and performer and also leads Socratic dialogues. In 2008 Edwin Deen started with Taiji Wuxigong in Amsterdam, he switched to the Yang style of The Art of Chi in 2009 and followed the teachings of, among others, Michèle Stévanovitch, head of the ‘international center’ in Aubard (FR) and Christian Michel in Baisy-Thy (BE).
After an intensive study of the practice and methods for teaching it, Deen received his diploma from Michèle Stévanovitch.
The Art of Chi, School of the Inner Way, was founded in 1988 by Vlady Stévanovitch and has since then grown into a network of over 300 teachers and 10,000 students worldwide. The international center of the school is located in Aubard, Haute-Provence, South of France. The Art of Chi stems from the “internal Chinese arts”, Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong as well as other oriental practices.
